The African Qualifications Verification Network (AQVN)

The launch of the African Qualifications Verification Network (AQVN)took place on the 16th May 2016.

The AQVN is an important outcome of an international seminar that SAQA hosted in November 2014. The event, which had the theme Building Trust: Promoting genuine Qualifications through Effective Verification, brought together key stakeholders from 14 African countries. Besides the adoption of a Joint Declaration, delegates also agreed to establish the AQVN.

The idea of a network emerged from a need expressed by the seminar participants to develop trustworthy, legitimate institutional linkages and networks across the African continent driven by cooperation, collaboration, and a common platform to access learner records.
