Policy and Criteria for Recognising a Professional Body and Registering a Professional Designation for the Purposes of the National Qualifications Framework Act, Act 67 of 2008 (As amended, September 2020)- Amended Policy

The SAQA Board, at its meeting on 29 October 2020, approved amendments (Board decision number: SAQA16130/20) to the:  Policy and Criteria for Recognising a Professional Body and Registering a Professional Designation for the Purposes of the National Qualifications Framework Act, Act 67 of 2008 (as amended, September 2020) (P&C for professional bodies). 

The amendments were effected to address application fees; transformation; governance issues and submission of data to the NLRD as part of the de-recognition process. The P&C for professional bodies (as amended, September 2020) is applicable to all recognised professional bodies and effective immediately.
