Invitation for the public to comment on the Policy and Criteria for Credit Accumulation and Transfer within the National Qualifications Framework (As amended, 2020)
In November 2014, SAQA published the Policy for Credit Accumulation and Transfer within the National Qualifications Framework (2014 CAT Policy). However, SAQA needed to amend the 2014 CAT Policy to, amongst others:
- Align it with the Articulation Policy for the Post-school Education and Training System of South Africa that was published in 2017 by the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET); and
- Add Criteria to assist with the implementation of CAT.
Members of the public, the Quality Councils and other relevant stakeholders are invited to comment on the draft amended Policy from 20 November to 18 December 2020 to assist us in further strengthening the Policy and Criteria.
Comments should be sent to the SAQA Director: International Liaison, Ms. Coleen Jaftha at cjaftha@saqa.co.za
