Revised Tariff Structure as from 1 April 2009The South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) aims to meet and exceed the needs of its customers. Its goal is to ensure that the highest standard of reliability, consistency and quality is maintained in the delivery of its services. Due to the rising costs of supplies, labour and internal systems development, we have reached a stage where our tariff structure had to be reviewed to ensure that we maintain the same level of quality in rendering our services. The changed structure will entail the following - A 10% general increase on all tariffs
- A revision of the fees charged for certain services and products
- The introduction of certain fees not charged previously
The revised tariff structure is outlined in the table below. This will be implemented with effect from 1 April 2009: | Products and Services | Revised Tariff | | Application fee (first and further applications) | | 10 day turn around | R790 | | 20 day turn around | R590 | | 30 day turn around | R390 | | Copies of certificates (requested with applications) | R20 | | Certified statements (standard processing time: 10 working days) | R390 | | Fee for appeals (fully refundable in the of case of successful appeals) | R390 | | Handling fees | | Bank charges: currency conversion | R120 | | Admin cost refund: | R33 | | Bank charges: international refunds | R200 | | Cancellation fee | R130 | | Reactivation fee (to reactivate incomplete applications, or for special requests such as copies or changes not as a result of oversight by SAQA | R50 | | Postage fees (in line with current Postnet fees) | | Traceable mail: SA | R35 | | Traceable mail: SADC | R80 | | Traceable mail: international (other) | R90 | | Copies to third parties (non-traceable) | R15 |
