NQF Support Link Workshop: NQF and Learning Programmes

Planning and Managing the Implementation of Learning Programmes

This interactive and practical workshop has been designed specifically for learning and development practitioners as well as training providers involved in learning programmes.

Attending this workshop will enable education and training leaders to understand the different aspects of planning, designing, delivering and evaluating a learning programme that will satisfy the requirements and intentions of the NQF.

This includes:

  • A focus on determining the particular need for a programme;
  • Developing the curriculum framework (including the programme purpose, the outcome statements, the content that will be covered and the manner in which it will be covered);
  • The nature of support for learners in a learning programme; and
  • Ways of monitoring and evaluating learning programmes

The workshop is facilitated by an expert with extensive experience in this field.

Second notice of the visit by Professor Tara Fenwick to South Africa

Tara Fenwick The University of Western Cape (UWC) and the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) are pleased to announce the visit of Professor Tara Fenwick to South Africa from the 9 - 19 October 2010.

Professor Fenwick is a leading scholar and researcher into lifelong learning and work. In2010, she relocated to The Stirling Institute of Education, taking up a Chair in Professional Education. Formerly she was Professor and Head of Department of Educational Studies at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. Her research has focused on lifelong learning and education in the everyday activity of ‘workplaces’ and organizations, with particular interest in understanding how identities, power relations and knowledge emerge in the rapidly changing conditions of globalized workplace practices....more


Legislation Matters

This legislation is aimed at addressing the allocation of responsibility, resolving tensions among important role-players, and simplifying the NQF apparatus in order to speed up the achievement of NQF objectives.
