Mr Shandukani Manyaka was born and grew up in Soweto.

I completed my first degree in Psychology at Vista University. Then proceeded and completed an Honours Degree in Psychology at University of Johannesburg formerly (RAU).

I started my professional career as an Educational Credential Evaluator at the Centre for Evaluating Foreign Qualifications at the Human Sciences Research Council. I am currently employed as a Deputy Director responsible for quality assurance at the South African Qualifications Authority.
