Ms. Helen Brown has a Post Graduate qualification in Business Management specialising in Human Capital Development. Her specialties include staff training and development as well as performance management and industrial relations particularly in the automotive industry sector.

Since 1999, Brown’s special interests have included automotive vehicle technologies, vehicle emission reduction systems and related energy storage systems. Of particular relevance, she has experience in the following areas:

• Management of project due diligence, including business financial modeling for optimum projected returns, integrating capabilities of stakeholders, building alliances with support organizations and financial institutions.
• Presentation of new technologies particularly for the World Summit on Sustainable Development, Johannesburg, 2002
• Industrialization solutions for new technologies

She is currently a contracted Senior Project Manager at the Manufacturing, Engineering and Related Services Sector Education & Training Authority (MERSETA). Projects under her direction include:

1. National Tooling Initiative (2004 to date)
2. Two Welding Centers of Sectoral and Occupational Excellence (2006)
3. The development of technical courseware for 45 Merseta qualifications.(2005-2006)
4. New Venture Creation in the manufacturing engineering sector for 216 learners (2007)
5. Accelrated Artisan Training Programme in the Metal and Motor sectors (2007)
